There’ll come a time

‘This can’t last. This misery can’t last. I must remember that and try to control myself. Nothing lasts, really. Neither
happiness nor despair. Not even life lasts very long. There’ll come a time in the future when I shan’t mind about this
anymore. When I can look back and say quite peacefully how silly I was. No, no, I don’t want that time to come, ever.
I want to remember every minute. Always. Always, to the end of my days.’

(excerpt from Brief Encounter - UK, 1945; a film by David Lean; starring Celia Johnson, Trevor Howard)

  1. da,va veni un timp in care Zeita va obosi, dupa indelungul ei dans,in care matasea parului ei isi va scurge fosnetul, iar noi doar vom adasta,in Stiinta;pana atunci,ma imbat cu anticipari,in caruselul imaginilor tale

  3. Hi, Cris,
Feeling, color and movement! A brief encounter that transforms into a lasting event! Which, quite by accident, reads 'love'!
You glamorize the scarf (a beauty accessory or an accessory to murder?)... Resplendent in color and kingly in movement...proud, happy and cruel...only to dissolve into liquid blank space. Standing for people? The encounter? Love?

  4. I am sorry, my dear ones, anonymous or not, for not replying sooner. As you shall see in the next post, and, of course, as you already know so well, the season has changed. ;-)

    Draga Cerasela,
nicicand nu voi gasi cuvinte potrivite (argheziene sau nu) sa se masoare cu cele ale tale. Multumesc pentru ele.

    Roxana,
da, eu stiu asta, iar eu, postand, stiam ca tu stii.

    Dear Anonymous,
I am glad you came back although I haven't (yet, I hope) answered to your last comment. The scarf can stand for everything you named and also for personal memory.
Thank you again for your beautiful comments, they mean a lot and it is always a pleasure reading them.

Things I should know

My photo
